The Breaking Of The Seed

The approach of Spring has me thinking of how things grow. Those little seed have withstood the weight and compression of earth and water and will soon push through to make its debut to the world.
The weight and pressure you feel is destiny pushing itself through. Breaking is okay. Fruit can only come forth if the seed breaks. If you are at your breaking point destiny is about to break forth. Hold tight you’re about to feel the sun shining on your face.
Destiny is waiting.  . .

Shed The Weight

Hebrews 12:1 NLT

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

It’s not always sin that causes the lag in our journey to destiny.  Weighty thoughts,  cumbersome obligations and vows become internal stumbling blocks tripping our conscious momentum. Weights make you sluggish.  When weights are attached more energy is required to move. Great progress isn’t celebrated because we are exhausted by the effort it required.

Shedding emotional, spiritual and psychological weight requires the diligence and intentionality applied to physical weight loss. Set a plan. Determine what is good for you and what you can have in small doses.
Eliminate the behaviors, habits and  mindsets that put on weight.  There’s a crowd of witnesses watching your journey but the race is yours to run.
Destiny is waiting.  . .

Led Beyond The Storm

1The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me  in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.  Psalm 23

Life can lead us in so many directions. We have traveled the high and low highway navigating the traffic jams of disappointment and carrying the cargo bought on by stress. Often we can find ourselves sitting on the shoulder of the road wondering when we can begin the journey again. The journey is waiting for us.
I am reminded of a time when I sat on the shoulder of the road afraid to drive because of the rapid fierceness of a rain storm. The roof of my car sounded of steel drums as the rain beat upon it. Anxiety was leading to panic with my car rocking me into paranoia with the passing of each 18 wheeler. Then I heard a voice say, “keep driving”. Mustering all the courage within me I pulled off the shoulder back onto the highway. Within minutes I was out of the storm. The storm was still there I just moved beyond it. I have yet to pull over during any storm since then.

God will lead us. . .beyond storms to streams of living water. Trust His leading. Don’t stand still in the storm. Keep driving. God is in control.

Compare yourself with no one not even yourself. Christ compared himself only with the will the Father had sent Him on earth to fulfill. This is how we fulfill destiny. Settle yourself today with these thoughts

  • I cannot be anyone else.
  • I cannot be who I was.
  • I can be and will be who He made me to be.

Live today in destiny!
